I've Been Busy, Y'all
Or as we say in the Caribbean "big tings ah gwan"
Hello friends,
It’s been a while since I’ve written, so I wanted to bring you up to date because I’ve been doing a LOT (even though supposedly this is me taking it easier.)
What Sharon Said - New Show!
First of all, I started a new thing - a show that will happen roughly twice a month, with the aim of at least 16 episodes by year-end. I'm facing my fear and doing live video.
My concept is that it will be 15-30 minutes long, depending on whether I have a guest or not, and will have a few regular features (kind of like a video magazine), but the only thing I know for sure is that whatever I think it is now will evolve, and that's ok. The first episode ran for 20 minutes, and the outline for the next one is pretty long, so we’ll see.
The show has three sections: life, learning and anti-racism, which allows me to connect with all of you about more of the things that matter to me - win, win, if you ask me! You can check out the launch episode on LinkedIn or YouTube, or RSVP for episode 2 here.
I’m Doing More Courses
I’m trying to get some of what’s in my brain out into the world where it can help people, which means courses. My most popular course last year was the self-publishing masterclass, and that’s running again on June 2nd. (There’s an additional discount off the super early bird price this week only with this link. )
But that’s not the only class I’m doing. I’ve got a book marketing deep dive, an audiobook creation class, a content planning class, and a podcasting class in mind. (All-Access passes for this year remain available here.)
Immersion Days
Immersion Days are my version of VIP days - an opportunity to get my brain to yourself for up to 6 hours, with lunch on me. These will be virtual experience helping with mindset and content strategy and I’m hoping to work primarily with introverted women as I can speak from experience about getting out there when you have that identity. I am considering a trip to the US in early May (speaking it into being) and to the UK in September (same) and am open to doing an in-person immersion experience on each of those trips.
Writing
I’ve got a couple of pieces planned to share with you in the next few months. The first is a review of my new favourite tool, TickTick - big thanks to Asmara Kazmi for pointing me in that direction. And the second is a travel piece on Panama, which I’ll be visiting in a few weeks.
Well, those are the updates.
Thanks for being here,
Sharon
